Meet The Team

RAD Fitness founder Ally is a retro music fanatic. Having discovered the joys of latin dance fitness in the early days of Zumba, she was sitting in her car one sunny day in 2012 listening to Beat It when she saw the matrix. Suddenly she understood how dance fitness principles could be applied to all her favourite songs. From this pivotal moment, she created (and began teaching) her own retro dance fitness classes, leaving behind her career as a Naturopath to pursue a life of leotards and legwarmers. In 2015 she was fortunate to complete group exercise training with two pioneer fitness instructors, opening the door to another world of classic workout nostalgia – freestyle aerobics.

Ally is also a passionate creative, and loves bringing her constant stream of ideas to life. When she isn’t living the lycra dream, you can usually find Ally working on her other business endeavours with a chai tea in one hand, and one (or both) of her cats Jazz and Bowie in her lap.

Keely is a yoga teacher, art therapist, former mental-health worker, performing artist and dance teacher! She grew up dancing in her living room and didn’t take a dance class until she moved to Melbourne at the age of 23.

She began training and teaching at Bey Dance which helped her learn how to feel powerful in her curves and shake her jelly! She joined the Real Hot Bitches 80s dance troupe as her alter ego, Debbie Glitterbox. The bitches helped her hone her thrusting technique and dracting (dramatic dance acting).

Keely loves performing as a dancer and has danced at festivals and events all around Australia. She is passionate about teaching beginners because if she can do it, anyone can! She loves to watch confidence and ferocity grow in students and will never get sick of that dance high you get at the end of class!

Stephanie has been teaching dance and performing to crowds for 12 years! She creates a held and uplifting space for individuals to explore movement, excel their confidence and develop their own unique expression. Talented beyond the word ‘performer’, she is a chameleon, a healer, an artist and a powerful force with vast creative flare.

Samuel is a dancer, activist and drag performer. He studied musical theatre and performing arts for over a decade and has extensive experience teaching and performing. He has created a number of original dance and drag performances, including the popular drag cabaret ‘La Nonna’.

Ebony is a PhD candidate by day, and part time show pony by night. She began dabbling in performance as a drag king in 2019, and joined the Real Hot Bitches 80s dance troupe in 2020 where she found her groove in front of an audience.

Ebony was never trained in dance, but has always loved music and movement. Her love of movement took a shift from pumping iron at the gym to pumping up the jam on a dance floor when she discovered that dance classes aren’t just for the pros.
